Hey guys, what is something about you that your friends (or significant other) would be surprised to know?

Aha! I finally have a shocking answer for someone's question!

Well, you guys see the sort of shocking side of me anyway. What you may not know is that I have always been an honors student, recieved straight A's, followed every recommendation of my parents, my family, and upper-middle-class society in general, gone to college, worked hard and succeeded at everything I've done. I have never done any drinking, partying, or drugs, until a couple of weeks ago I had never been to a club...etc. I'm a good girl, basically, boring, straightforward, and predictable.

What most people do not know is that starting at the age of about 13, I had an extended intimate and very sexual online relationship with a MUCH older man (late 30's). When I was fourteen he flew to my hometown and we met; I went from never-been-kissed to rather experienced in a few hours. The relationship continued, with two more visits, until about 2 years ago, when I started dating my current boyfriend.

Before you start lecturing, please know that I was the one to make the relationship sexual. I do not want to be in contact with that man anymore, but I do not believe I was abused as he was very gentle and I trusted him at the time. Obviously, he has issues, and an obvious preference for teenagers, but he's not a pedophile. Best decision I've ever made? Definitely not. But don't start feeling sorry for me, either!

Bet you weren't expecting that one, were you?

Yay! Guess what everyone?! I made something else that tastes good! I made my grandma's rice pilaf tonight, and oh my gosh, it's great! I'm so stoked for myself! I'm starting to find my way around the kitchen!

Perhaps Dee is channeling some dead gymnast while in an altered state?

Dee, are you noticeably more "perky" (or Russian) when drunk?
[post=304207]Quoted post[/post]

Perky for sure, not so much Russian.

So, that begs a related question: What kind of drunk are you?

I'm definitely a happy-silly drunk if the cartwheels are any indication. And like I've mentioned before regarding affection -- that it's something I like doing with friends -- it gets all the more clear. Love hugs and kisses, congratulatory and encouraging talk. Am I on X? Nah, damn close though. If I get around my buds, I have a terrific time, for sure.

Here's a photo to prove it.

Out of the blue all right! No lecture--just happy you're OK. :)

I was wondering today, when I'm asked for my ethnicity on forms, what do I choose? I'm Caucasian, Asian, and Latino. Granted, not a lot of Latino blood flows through my veins, but that leaves white and Asian. Anyone know?

I think you should put what you identify yourself as most. I usually put East Indian if they offer that, but more often than not, its "other".

I dunno what to identify myself most as :p I'm a mutt in the total sense of the word. Not only am I a mutt ethnicity wise, but like, I also look like a mutt. So, from now on, I'll check other and put "mutt" :D

If you're not hung up on political correctness, you could always call yourself mulatto.

I thought mulattos were from a black parent and a white parent? I don't have any black in me. And no, I'm actually anti-political correctness. I should be able to say what I want, when I want. If you have issues with words, it's not my problem.

Not necessarily. It is old Portuguese slang for 'mixed breed'. It is most commonly used to designate someone of mixed black/white parentage, but it can loosely refer to any mix of races. The good thing is that using the word always leads to some raised eyebrows! Don't you just love the look on people's faces when they hear a word that they just know should offend them?
