If you get detained by a cop for being slightly intoxicated and doing cartwheels in the middle of the street, what's the radio code for that?

(No, really. It happened to me last night.)

I offered 722.6. I don't know; it just sounds good to me.

Dee....are you serious?!

Yeah, that really happened to me. The funny thing is, I could still manage to do a pretty good cartwheel even though I was a bit hammered and a bit too high. :+

Changing gears a bit...

How many people do you have on your Ignore list? I'm up to nine.

And what does it take for you to mask that user altogether?

* inauthenticity -- short and sweet: don't be something or someone you're not; don't measure in Internet inches; don't piss on my head and tell me it's raining...

* nonsensical, inane posts -- like my posts to stay on-topic and for subsequent posters to continue "feeding" the thread, giving it some good direction, not just random to do splashings of words for no good reason (unless you're in the Lounge, i s'pose).

* badgering -- esp. considering the recent Pope bash parade, not much respect for people who just nail each other with insults or goad others into fighting; see also Members who ask "c2c?" right off the bat in an IM...

* "yes-mannerisms" -- posters, especially newbs, who suck the metaphorical teat of an admired poster response for the sole purpose of getting noticed and/or responded toward, the "trying too hard" types

And as far as buddies go? I think I've got five or six, not sure.

* strong, bold opinions -- not afraid to say what they think (with discretion), sticks to their positions, keeps generating good food-for-thought

* accessibility beyond forum -- if I like you on here, I hope I'll like you on Yahoo, and I hope we stay in touch on there too, and I hope it's a nice hoot when we get together

hung_big: I'm up to three on the ignore list...

Are you trying to tell me you have me on ignore Dee? That is SO not nice :p

OK, time to revive The Lounge before it slips off the page.

The LPSG has been an educational experience for me in a lot of ways. I've certainly learned a lot from the thoughtful posts here.

For example, I had no idea that guys with extremely large cocks aren't all necessarily big jerks as well. :D

No, seriously, one thing that leaps to mind as an example of something I've learned here is the multitude of opinions about circumcision. It's a complex issue and one that I think I have a better understanding of now.

What is something that you guys can say you've learned by being a part of the LPSG?

I think I have learned not to believe stereotypes.

This is totally random - after seeing how much my paino skills have slipped, but since it's one of the few thing I actually was able to do, should I try and pick it up again and or/ take lessons? I will say it may piss me off if I can't do it, but is it worth a try?

I just picked up trumpet again after a couple of years and it was definitely worth the frustration. The ability will come back quickly with practice, and it's amazing to make music again. Sometimes you don't realize how much you miss it...

I used to play guitar before I had my kids, But when you have babies, you have no time, and when you do have time, its usually b/c they are sleeping so you sleep too lol. So its been like 8 years since I've played. I still have my music, and I should start again, but I just don't know if I'll have patience to. So if you can pick up piano, and enjoy it, Kudos to you.

After all this time it must have left a trumpet-shaped clean spot in the dust.

Reminds me of that time my daughter came over and said she was going to clean my bathroom.

I said, "Why? I'm not moving."

You have a God given talent, don't waste it. If I know you I bet you were really good so start back playing, OK??

Absolutely! Music is one of the greatest gifts you can have, I'd give it any chance possible. Desire and passion will go a long way toward helping to nurture the learning process, after that, it's just a matter of developing your own style. What sets you apart from every other pianist may be something you don't even know about yourself yet. Go for it!

Impressive. I can't even do that while sober.

Perhaps Dee is channeling some dead gymnast while in an altered state?

Dee, are you noticeably more "perky" (or Russian) when drunk?

I've learned that I'm not alone. Before LPSG, I encountered quite a few endowed guys, and they viewed things very differently than I. A bunch of well-hung size queens who think that big cocks are the number one feature that makes someone interesting ... that's not a group that I want to be a part of. Here I have found guys who are intelligent, caring, and truthful, and who value those qualities over a big cock. Sure, there are members here who think a huge schlong is the end-all and be-all, but they are in the minority. It's great to find like-minded people that appreciate you for who you are rather than for what's slapping against your thighs.

What I've appreciated about LPSG is the acceptance. I've always been pretty much a wallflower, not inclined to participate in group activities due to being 'different.'

Even though I'm a minority here I feel truly accepted. Everybody's so warm and encouraging. I'm actually learning to be proud to be a heterosexual.

*snif*
